چکیده
Blue fluorescent gold nanoclusters were prepared in the presence of poly-cytosine DNAs at low pH and poly-adenine at neutral pH using citrate as the reducing agent; various buffer conditions affecting the synthesis have been explored.

Synthesis and Functionalization of Gold Nanoparticles by Using of Poly Functional Amino Acids
Synthesis and characterization of two functionalized gold nanoparticles by using of two poly functional amino acids (L-Arginine and L-Aspartic acid) are reported. The gold nanoparticles were reduced by sodium citrate and functionalized with L-Arginine at the pH of 7 and 11 and L-Aspartic acid at the pH of 7. Transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, zeta p...
متن کاملPhosphorothioate DNA Stabilized Fluorescent Gold and Silver Nanoclusters
Unmodified single-stranded DNA has recently gained popularity for the templated synthesis of fluorescent noble metal nanoclusters (NCs). Bright, stable, and biocompatible clusters have been developed primarily through optimization of DNA sequence. However, DNA backbone modifications have not yet been investigated. In this work, phosphorothioate (PS) DNAs are evaluated in the synthesis of Au and...
متن کاملNucleobase-Guanidiniocarbonyl-Pyrrole Conjugates as Novel Fluorimetric Sensors for Single Stranded RNA.
We demonstrate here for the first time that a guanidiniocarbonyl-pyrrole (GCP) unit can be applied for the fine recognition of single stranded RNA sequences-an intuitively unexpected result since so far binding of the GCP unit to ds-DNA or ds-RNA relied strongly on minor or major groove interactions, as shown in previous work. Two novel nucleobase-GCP isosteric conjugates differing in the flexi...
متن کاملSpectroscopic Studies on the Interaction of Co(II) Tetrapyridinoporphyrazine with Synthetic Polynucleotides and DNA
Interactions of cationic tetrakis (N,N´,N´´,N´´´-tetramethyltetra-3,4-pyridinoporphyrazinatocobalt(II) (Co(tmtppa)) with synthetic polynucleotides, poly(A-T), poly(G-C) and calf thymus DNA have been characterized in 5 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.2, by optical absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. The appearance of hypochromicity effect and the red shift in UV-Vis spectrum of porphyrazine was ...
متن کاملPolarographic reduction of adenine and cytosine residues in denatured DNA.
Polarographie reduction of adenine and cytosine moieties in denatured DNA was followed by means of differential (derivative) pulse polarography. The measurements of the reduction currents yielded by samples of denatured DNA differing in guanine+cytosine (G + C) content showed that both cytosine and adenine residues were reduced in DNA in the pH range of 6.0 —8.7. The con tribution of their red...
